В мировой практике все больше внимания уделяется крупным спортивным мероприятиям, таким как Олимпийские или Паралимпийские игры. Эти мероприятия не только вносят вклад в экономику, оказывают влияние на политические процессы, но и способствуют развитию некоммерческой сферы страны-организатора через реализацию комплексных волонтерских программ – олимпийского волонтерства. Количество исследований, посвященных пониманию мнения волонтеров о наследии Олимпийских игр, их планов на дальнейшую волонтерскую деятельность, ограничено. Цель – рассмотреть отношение волонтеров к наследию крупного спортивного мероприятия; определить проблемы, мешающие, по мнению волонтеров, развитию волонтерства в нашей стране. В рамках поставленной цели был проведен онлайн-опрос волонтеров Олимпийских и Паралимпийских игр 2014 года (n=332). Большинство олимпийских волонтеров удовлетворены участием в данном направлении волонтерства и более ориентированы на продолжение волонтерской деятельности именно в этом направлении. Участники исследования выделили увеличение числа волонтерских центров и количества волонтеров в нашей стране как наиболее значимые последствия Олимпийских игр в сфере волонтерства. Результаты исследования могут использоваться в качестве оценки результатов олимпийской волонтерской программы, рассматриваться в международных сравнительных исследованиях для получения информации о международном олимпийском движении.

Sporting mega-events improve local economy, affect political processes, and develop such non-commercial sector as volunteering. The article examines the attitude of volunteers to the legacy of such sporting mega-events as Olympic or Paralympic Games. An online survey of volunteers (n=332) who participated in the Olympic and Paralympic Games in 2014 defined various problems that hinder the development of volunteering in Russia. Most respondents were satisfied with their volunteering experience and expressed eagerness to volunteer specifically in this area. They remarked on the increase in the number of volunteer centers and volunteers in Russia as the most significant consequences of the Olympic Games in the field of volunteering. The research results contribute to the Olympic studies and cast light on the public attitude to Olympic volunteering.
