    <p>Существует неразрывная связь между самооценкой, развитием личности и социальным контекстом, задающим направленность жизни человека. Цель статьи – раскрыть данную связь, в рамках которой личность индивида влияет на его профессиональный успех. Такое воздействие отчетливо проявляется в работе современного преподавателя вуза как в медиапространстве, так и в немедийном пространстве. Роль педагога меняется вместе с развитием общественных отношений и на сегодняшний день имеет характер части процесса складывания культурного капитала и информационной экономики. Профессиональная самооценка преподавателя, выражаемая в управленческих метриках, определяет то, насколько успешно он выполняет эту функцию. Сами же метрики демонстрируют существование социального контракта между профессионалом и обществом, в котором профессионал предлагает свои умения и навыки и ожидает соответствующего вознаграждения, влияющего на его самооценку и на их (профес­сионала и общества) дальнейшее взаимодействие. Профессия преподавателя вуза в этом контексте имеет ряд особенностей: наличие студента как актора; формальные требования администрации вуза; способность удовлетворять потребность учащихся в личностном контакте в условиях стандартизации и массового производства информации. На основе анализа теории и практики данного вопроса преподавателю вуза предлагаются рекомендации, направленные на поддержание самооценки: 1) развитие эмоционального интеллекта; 2) управление впечатлением; 3) различение. В статье приведены элементы медиаприсутствия, с помощью которых их можно выполнить.</p>

   <trans-abstract xml:lang="en">
    <p>Self-esteem and personal development depend on the social context. This article describes this correlation, within which personality affects the professional success. Such an impact is manifested in the work of a modern university educator, both in the media space and beyond. The social role of the teacher changes together with public relations: today, it is part of cultural capital and information economy. The professional self-esteem of a university educator, expressed in managerial metrics, determines their performance. The metrics can reveal a social interaction between the specialist and the society, where the specialist exchanges skills for reward, which affects the self-esteem and further interaction. The work of a university educator depends on the presence of the student as an actor, formal requirements of the university administration, and the ability to meet the students’ need for personal contact under standardization and mass production of information. The article gives university teaching personnel some recommendations on maintaining self-esteem connected with the development of emotional intelligence, impression management, and identification. The recommendations are supported by media presence cases.</p>
