The article features the topical issue of competitive growth of graduates of higher educational institutions. Its aim is to define the succession in which the strategy of improving competitiveness of graduates on the market should be applied and to assess the possible alternatives to this strategy in the context of innovative economy development. An analysis of the main factors that encourage competitiveness in graduates on the market has been conducted as well as a SWOT-analysis of the process of competitive growth of graduates. The article offers some strategic approaches to competitive growth of graduates of academic institutions.
