Based on Rospatent data, the analysis of statistical information on domestic databases in the dairy industry, the rights to which are officially registered, was carried out. The search depth is 10 years. It is established that out of the entire array of databases registered in Russia in the dairy industry, most are directly related to the educational process, only one database can be used as a reference book and two databases can be considered as scientifically oriented. Heads of scientific institutions and industrial enterprises should be more active in protecting intellectual property objects, in particular databases.
