Scientific achievements in the field of biotechnology promote higher standards of human life, improve its quality, revealing new opportunities in all spheres of human activities. Moreover, biotechnology is very helpful in checking whether each evidence is quite reliable in legal proceedings, both civil and criminal. The article points out that, at the same time, achievements of biotechnology entail moral problems, as well as criminal risks. It is stated that it is necessary to consider the problems of biotechnological applications within legal proceedings under the optics of morality and of family values.
