Abstract:
Wages represent a critical indicator of both quality of life and economic sustainability. Consequently, the analysis of the interrelationships between various economic factors are of paramount importance. This article compares the factors influencing wage dynamics in the Kemerovo Region and in Moscow. A multifactorial correlation and regression analysis was conducted using data from the Federal State Statistics Service spanning from 2008 to 2023. The study examined the presence or absence of statistically significant relationships between wage indices, industrial production, fixed asset investment, and labor productivity. The analysis was performed in Microsoft Excel using the Data Analysis ToolPak. The findings reveal that Moscow employers focus on intensive economic growth driven by increased labor productivity. Conversely, the Kemerovo Region is dominated by extensive growth associated with rising investments in fixed assets. These insights can be utilized to formulate strategies for sustainable economic growth and to improve the standard of living. Furthermore, this universal methodology can be applied to wage studies in other regions.
